We have an exciting opportunity to join Warwick Hotels and Resorts as a Human Resources Manager at our Warwick Denver location. As Human Resources Manager, you will be an important part of the leadership team that strives to ensure hospitality is provided to not just our guests, but also our associates.
The ideal candidate for Human Resources Manager will have general experience in all areas of Human Resources. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate and promote the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
- Process payroll and help department heads and managers monitor and review timecards.
- Responsible for all human resource related functions and assisting managers to ensure compliance with the company’s standards, policies, and procedures.
- Successfully design and implement recruiting strategies to ensure our hotel stays staffed with the adequate number of trained team members necessary for business volume.
- Act as the main point of contact for the recruiting and hiring process. Conduct first interviews and screen candidates.
- Completes onboarding paperwork and new hire orientation.
- Work with Department Managers to hire qualified applicants and train employees in accordance with company standards.
- Inspect and document coaching and counseling records with department heads and managers to ensure full documentation and organization is compliant and protects liability.
- Ensure adherence with organization's policies regarding such functions as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.
- Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of team members, hotel guests and property. Respond swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situations.
This position will report to the General Manager and is a member of the Executive team. Generally a Monday-Friday day shift position, but schedule is based on business demands and needs.
Qualifications
- Two or more years Human Resources Manager experience at one employer, preferably within a hospitality environment.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Possess excellent presentation, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy to include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Payroll system and report running experience
- Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English fluently
