Job Overview
Warwick is seeking an experienced A&D Senior Reservoir Engineer with a proven track record in unconventional resource plays (Permian experience preferred) to identify and evaluate oil and gas acquisition opportunities and make recommendations based on rigorous technical and economic analysis.
The primary purpose of the role is to both identify acquisition opportunities that fit with Warwick’s investment criteria and evaluate deal flow from our business development team. We are targeting candidates with the ability to think strategically about deal flow while integrating a deep technical understanding of the subsurface properties which will result in profitable investments. This role is expected to work across Warwick’s vertically integrated and multifunctional team to identify, acquire and integrate new investments into our portfolios while achieving top tier returns.
Key Job Responsibilities

Lead the engineering evaluation of acquisitions, divestitures, and/or trades that arise from internally generated and third-party deal flow with a focus on the Permian Basin

Lead efforts along with Geology to enhance and maintain the subsurface model for the Permian Basin

Collaborate with geologic and operational staff to provide reservoir engineering input for development projects and drilling opportunities.

Calculate well EURs, determine well spacing, generate type curves, and make acquisition and/or development recommendations based on return metrics for the corporation.

Perform analysis and review of LOS/LOE, OpEx, differentials and other economic assumptions related to various acquisition opportunities.

Analyze competitor data, development strategies, and industry trends to assist with identifying opportunities.

Prioritize evaluation workflows and assist in filtering deal flow based on current firm directives

Track technical performance of investments and report updates to management

Support Permian Basin corporate reserves processes

Participate in special projects as assigned by management.

Develop and present technical evaluations materials to executive management

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field of study.

Permian experience preferred.

Exposure to operations preferred.

8 years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional development. 5 years of multi-basin A&D experience preferred.

Must have demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams with a proven record as a strong team player and self-starter with the aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas.

Demonstrable proficiency with petroleum economic and forecasting software.

Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments and disciplines at all levels of the organization.

Ability to develop and make presentations to senior management as required.

Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problems.

Experienced in Aries , ComboCurve, and Spotfire, Whitson preferred
