Overview
Prioritizes release of information requests based on type (continuity of care, patient requests and STAT requests), noted due dates, and federal mandates and retrieves medical and billing records per Riverside policy and procedures. Performs quality checks to ensure accuracy of the authorization; verifies the identity of the patient prior to the release completion and properly invoices for release of medical records. Ensures the requesting party has a legal right to request the patient's medical information. Performs established quantitative and qualitative work standards to meet department goals and objectives. Additionally, maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines and assists with separation and distribution of mail, as needed. Uses good telephone techniques including 3 part greeting and 3 rings or less guideline.

- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Experience
- 1 year Customer Service (Required)
- 1 year Release of Information (Medical Office or Health Information Management) (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Drivers License Required
