Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machines and will be responsible for fabricating production wood components. This role requires a good understanding of logic controllers and quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the highest standards. It also requires a basic understanding of and ability to change tools, touch off tools, and edit the tool info within the control system. The CNC Operator will work closely with the production team to optimize manufacturing efficiency and maintain safety standards within the factory environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for operations to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Utilize micrometers and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Operate forklifts for materials handling within the warehouse as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC operator in a manufacturing or factory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in CNC machinery.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and materials handling techniques.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
