Warwick River Christian is hiring a second-grade teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic school year!

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Virginia Department of Education standards, while utilizing a faith-based curriculum.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Assess student progress through various methods such as tests, projects, and assignments
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Provide guidance and support to students in their social-emotional development
- Foster a love of learning by creating engaging and interactive lessons.
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Experience working with elementary school students
- Knowledge of child development principles.
Education and Experience:
It is expected for the teacher to:
-Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
-Having completed student teaching and/or other educational field experience.
-Pass a background check.
-Have a current teaching license from the Commonwealth of Virginia or any other state.
-OR eligible to apply for a teaching license.
Personal Qualifications:
-Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
-Faithfully attend a local, Bible believing church.
