Job Summary

The Help Desk Technician will serve as the first point of contact for all technical support issues within the company. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting employees with IT needs, and escalating complex problems to higher-tier support when necessary. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner, maintaining accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Set up and configure workstations, laptops, phones, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist in managing user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Support basic networking tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement system updates and changes.
  • Train users on new technologies, tools, and best practices as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will be considered.)
  • 1 year of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Office 365 environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., IP configuration, VLANs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • CompTIA A , Network , or similar certifications are a plus.
