What we're looking for in a SUD Case Manager
To excel as a Full Time SUD Case Manager at Wasatch Behavioral Health, candidates must possess a diverse set of skills and knowledge. Proficiency in various software applications is essential, along with a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques, and psychiatric social work concepts. The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, advocate for client rights, and develop social supports within the community are key attributes for success in this role. Strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with legal environments related to client rights and confidentiality, and the capacity to implement service plans accurately are also vital. providing ongoing case management and recovery support services, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact through creating goals, teaching coping skills, and coordinating services with related agencies. Utilizing ASAM criteria for client intake and assessment, you will determine appropriate service planning and treatment levels of care, while also educating and assisting in access to Medications Assisted Treatment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are : Ability to assist client's in developing a range of social supports in the community; to advocate for client rights, design instructional curriculum; use emergency medical procedures; communicate well verbally and in written form.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) and / or Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor (ASUDC). Must have a college degree at the associate's degree or equivalent and licensed as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC), or baccalaureate level or higher (ASUDC).
B. Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor's degree AND Licensed as a Social Service Worker (SSW).
C. Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in any field and the applicant has completed or will complete within 24 months of hire coursework required by Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing to apply for SSW licensure per Utah Code 58-60-205 : 1. Social welfare policy; 2. Human growth and development; and 3. Social work practice and methods. Must be working towards SSW licensure.
Must possess a valid driver's license
SUD-C, Substance Use Treatment experience preferred
Spanish Speaking may qualify for an increased wage after testing.
May Consider Underfills-
SUDC-No Bachelor's Degree pay range $18.49-$23.43 per hour
Bachelor's Degree with or without SUDC Licensure pay range $20.43-$25.89
ASUDC-with Bachelor's Degree or SSW Licensure pay range $$22.55-$28.57
If the applicant does not currently have either the SSW, SUDC, ASUDC or LASUDC license they must become SSW licensed by the State of Utah within twenty-four (24) months from the date of hire as a Case Manager I. Failure to obtain the appropriate license within twenty-four (24) months may result in discharge or demotion.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
