Join us at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Behavioral Specialist with our Vantage Point program in Provo, Utah. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work onsite at our our Youth Crisis Center, providing hands-on support and assistance to youth ages 10-17 years old. By being an integral part of our team, you will have the chance to positively impact the well-being of our community members and contribute to providing a Safe & Positive Enviroment while helping towards improving their mental health. The Vantage Point Program works closely with youth dealing with crisis such as; Suicidal ideation, family problems, child abuse/neglect, running away, homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, behavior problems and/or waiting for foster care placement.
WAGE; $15.93-$20.19 PER HOUR

As a new Behavioral Specialist with our Vantage Point Youth program you can expect each day to be both rewarding and challenging. Your responsibilities may include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating group therapy sessions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals to provide support, guidance, and encouragement as they navigate their behavioral health journeys. Given the nature of this role, your schedule will consist of varied days and variable hours to accommodate the diverse needs of our clients.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST JOB?
To excel as a Behavioral Specialist, you will need a strong set of skills and qualifications. We prefer, although not required, that the candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, as well as relevant experience in behavioral health or mental health settings. In addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you should demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic health record systems is preferred, as you will be responsible for documenting client interactions and treatment plans. The ability to work effectively in a team setting, adapt to changing environments, and think critically to solve problems will be essential for thriving in this role at Wasatch Behavioral Health.
