The IRT Program is a 16 bed unlocked facility that provides resources, services and support as an alternate to psychiatric hospitalization. As a Therapist you will play a key role in shaping our therapeutic programs and ensuring high-quality care for those in need. Therapist I-Associate Licensure $56,000-$58,000 Annually
Therapist II-Full Licensure $68,000-$86,000 Annually
Receiving Center:
Our center operates 24/7, 365 days a year, providing crucial mental health crisis intervention to adults. As a mentor/behavior technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our clients during the night shift. Your responsibilities will include monitoring client safety, implementing behavioral plans, and accurately documenting observations.
SCHEDULE: 8:00am-5:00pm, M-F,

What would you do as a Therapist
As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect clinical services to individuals facing a range of behavioral health disorders, personal problems, domestic violence, and personality disorders. Your responsibilities will include developing and supervising client treatment programs, conducting individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions, managing your case load, and assisting in the development of permanency plans for clients and their families. Additionally, you will be involved in intake assessments, interviews, documentation, discharge planning, and liaison activities with various agencies and organizations to ensure continuity of patient care and support.
Requirements for Therapist in the IRT Program
To excel in the role of Therapist, candidates must possess Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality care are essential for success in this position.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Graduation from a college or university with a Master's degree in social work
- Psychology or a related field and:
- For Associate Licensed Therapist recognition in the state of Utah as one of the following: Certified Social Worker (CSW)
- Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC)
- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
- For Fully Licensed Therapist recognition in the State of Utah as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
