Job Description
As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing hourly labor, machinery operation, materials, equipment, and quality control standards. Meeting and improving reliability standards are key aspects to the success of this role. Applicants that have a mechanical talent for processing equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
Coordinates, directs, and instructs daily manufacturing activities in order to meet production schedules and standards
Identifying, reporting, troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving or ensuring resolution on equipment issues and process issues
Investigating all manufacturing problems while making recommendations for resolutions of inefficient practices or non-conforming products. (Corrective action reports)
Train employees on standard operation procedures and monitor/hold workers accountable for performance inadequacies through documented reports (ICS)
Delivering discipline in accordance with HR standards and direction where necessary
Develop current and new workforce members among all aspects of the liquid operations to continually increase the skill and ability of the workforce.
Preparing production reports and labor reports, ensuring accuracy
Collaborate with all relative team members to ensure smooth operations from start to finish, ensuring all production materials are present for your shift, as well as ensuring materials are on site for the next shift.
Reviews production requirements and assigns duties accordingly
Proactively maintains a safe working environment focused on prevention and ensuring continued compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
Qualifications
Preferred to have 5 years manufacturing supervisory experience in food-type manufacturing environment
Proven leadership skills in a diverse working environment an asset
High level of passion for production and flexibility an asset
Proficient knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
