As a Community Manager with Wasatch, your job will be to help our company succeed by providing the highest level of service to our associates and residents by incorporating our strong culture and ethics in your work while moving the needle and growing your community NOI.
You are the leasing office team member who is responsible for achieving the financial and operation goals established for the community. Areas include personnel, training, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, revenue enhancing and other capital improvements, contracted services, administration and reporting, and safety and legal compliance.
Job Overview:
❖ Supervise all staff at the property.
❖ Recruit, hire, train, and manage all associates and oversee compliance with Wasatch Policies related to employment and Human Resources.
❖ Gather and interpret current market and economic trends that may impact the community.
❖ Organize day-to-day operations; make staff assignments based on short and long-term plans.
❖ Ensures effective communication between management staff and other areas of the organization.
❖ Implements supervisory responsibilities following Wasatch policy and applicable laws, including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
❖ Responsible for preparing the community budget and financial statements, reporting; occupancy, budget variances, and open AR balances.
❖ Preserve human, physical, and financial assets.
❖ Recommends employees for educational training programs.
❖ Ensures quality control in housing management areas of inspection, re-certification, site appearance, and resident service delivery.
❖ Acts as a liaison between sites, monitoring and regulatory agencies, and other organizations, partners, and regulators.
Position Qualifications:
❖ BA or BS Degree from an accredited college (or three years of progressively responsible housing management or related experience).
❖ Skill in planning, delegating, and coordinating the work of others.
❖ Skill in analyzing problems, developing alternatives, and implementing effective strategies.
❖ Knowledge of Risk Management
❖ Extensive knowledge of landlord, tenant, and rental housing laws.
❖ Ability to lead staff and build a team atmosphere.
❖ Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask.
❖ A creative and motivating personality.
❖ Possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
❖ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
