Human Resources Manager
Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintains current postings on job boards, websites and application sites for all staffing needs
- Training and updating managers on hiring and onboarding procedures
- Assists in updating job requirements and job descriptions
- Coordinates and conducts employee orientation and training programs
- Oversees and participates in coaching, counseling and discipline of all staff
- Hearing and resolving employee grievances
- Counseling employees, supervisor and managers
- Maintains employee benefits programs. Informs employees of benefit updates, gives direction and training as needed to ensure all staff is up to date on changes
- Coordinates and conducts annual open enrollment meetings, providing benefit changes and updates
- Ensures legal compliance applicable to federal and state HR requirements
- Assist departmental management teams in preparing and updating policies and procedures
- Update and maintain yearly documentation and legal notices
- Maintain historical HR records, safe and organized
- Maintain up-to-date reporting and filing for federal and state requirements
- Maintain employee files, confidential files, ACA documents and I-9 forms
- Employee online onboarding and document verification
- Provide employees with up-to-date information on events and benefits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in online payroll system
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Reconcile benefits billings/invoices
- Attends weekly Executive meeting
- Provide information on past and present employment verifications
- Ensure all year end documentations are accurate and distributed timely
- Maintain a confidential, safe environment to all managers and staff
Skills and Qualifications:
Hiring, Human Resources Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Laws Against Sexual Harassment, and Organization.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or 5 years experience in Human Resources Management is highly preferred. Hospitality experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Paycom or similar online HR/payroll system. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build rapport and establish trust with managers and employees. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address employee issues and make decisions.
