The Wasco Union Elementary School District serves over 3,650 students in grade levels pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 1940, the district is comprised of four elementary schools and two middle schools. Required Qualifications:
Possess a valid California Teaching Credential (Special Education - Moderate/Severe)
Knowledge and training in working with moderate/severe disabilities
Sincere interest in and understanding of students with exceptionalities
Willingness to stay abreast of current trends, innovations and practices of education of exceptional students
Ability to work effectively with children, parents and staff
Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with Special Education reporting software
Bilingual English/Spanish
