What You’ll Do
- Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units
- Consult with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Manage and resolves employee relations issues
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees ensuring regulatory compliance
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, and retention
- Assist with business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; ensure training objectives are met in assigned business units
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field from an accredited college or university
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR certified, preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of HR Generalist experience with strong knowledge of labor laws
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including but not limited to compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills. Time management and project management abilities.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
