POSITION: The School District of Washburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare and serve food according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all food safety regulations.
· Operate and clean kitchen equipment, including ovens, dishwashers, and food processors. Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
· Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff.
· Assist with the setup and cleanup of the cafeteria and serving areas.
· Follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
· Work collaboratively with other food service staff members.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous food service experience is a plus but not required.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is desirable.
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
· A positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
· Must be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
