SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable and organized individual to support the ITS department as a receptionist. This role includes handling inquiries, managing office supplies and equipment, assisting with repairs and troubleshooting, and overseeing the computer lab. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using Spiceworks for inventory management and ticketing, as well as performing various clerical tasks. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as department receptionist, answering and directing inquiries professionally.
- Perform general office duties, including mail collection, copying, and filing.
- Maintain a clean and organized ITS area and coordinate office supplies and inventory.
- Organize and maintain ITS equipment, assisting with repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist in planning and organizing department events and activities, keeping staff informed.
- Greet visitors, ensuring they are comfortable and reception area is tidy.
- Answer phones, log calls, and route/transfer them to appropriate staff members.
- Coordinate mail flow in and out of the office.
- Perform basic data entry, clerical tasks, and follow up on helpdesk ticket status.
- Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware/software issues on electronic devices.
- Assist with repairs on malfunctioning devices and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize Spiceworks ticketing software to manage inventory, track repairs, and update tickets.
- Oversee daily operations of the university’s computer lab facility and escalate unresolved issues.
- Communicate repair status and technical information clearly to clients and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to overall team success and operations.
- Must be a currently enrolled WAU student
