The Washington and Lee University Economics Department invites applications for two one-year Visiting Assistant Professors, beginning July 1, 2025. Each position carries a 6-course teaching load distributed over Fall and Winter terms (12 weeks each). We welcome applications from all subfields. The Economics Department offers opportunities to develop courses in candidates’ field of specialization, including opportunities to collaborate with campus interdisciplinary programs. In addition, the department features a research seminar and offers research support.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Economics or related field is preferred by the time of appointment; ABDs will be considered. Teaching experience is highly desirable.
