Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Volunteers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our programs aimed at enhancing the lives of children and families in need. Volunteers will work closely with staff and community members to create a positive impact through various activities and initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating activities for children and families.
  • Provide support during crisis situations, utilizing crisis intervention techniques.
  • Engage with children in a nurturing manner, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement programs that promote child welfare and development.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to conflict management and motivational interviewing.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and report any concerns regarding child protective services.
  • Work effectively with individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity within all activities.

Skills
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills:

  • Knowledge of child protective services and child welfare practices.
  • Strong conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations effectively.
  • Experience in motivational interviewing techniques to engage with children and families positively.
  • Background in social work or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with childcare practices and crisis management strategies.
  • Experience working with children, including those with disabilities, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide support during crises.
