Washington Central Unified Union School District is looking for an experienced music educator to fill a full-time long-term substitute position in our Music Department during a teacher's leave of absence from the start of the school year in late August through December 2025.This position includes teaching band and jazz band to middle and high school students. Candidates must be able to work creatively and collaboratively to create an environment that invites respect for all persons, relate a sense of fairness, and practice commitment to inclusion and diversity. Training in restorative practices is preferred.The 700 student, 7-12 school is located on a beautiful hilltop campus in Central Vermont. U-32 is an individualistic, student centered school with an outstanding reputation in academics, athletics, and the arts.Candidates must be: Enthusiastic and student centered; Committed to educating all students to high standards; Knowledgeable in middle and high school music pedagogy; Knowledgeable in utilizing current music technology to include digital recording; Skilled in proficiency-based instruction & assessment; Licensed (or eligible for licensure) by the State of VT in Music Education for grades 5-12 or PK-12.Application via SchoolSpring.com is preferred.
