We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Professional to join our team at Washington Co. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional internal and external customer service while performing various accounting, bookkeeping, cashiering, and clerical tasks.
Job Summary
This position involves processing water bills, landfill bills, and miscellaneous receivables for Washington County customers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and verifying and processing daily deposits.
Responsibilities
- Billing and Accounts Receivable: Prepare all water and landfill bills, accept and process billing payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Utility Account Maintenance: Establish new water customer accounts, complete contracts, and prepare service cutoff lists.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent internal and external customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and offering assistance in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in accounting, business management, or similar field desirable; or any substantial combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, ability, and skills to perform the work.
- A valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices as well as general office operations and clerical procedures and practices.
