As a Personal Banker at WCB, you will be encouraged and empowered to gain an understanding of your customer’s unique needs so you can provide the best recommendations and support them on their financial journeys. It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite 100% of the time and will have a dedicated workspace. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Make every customer feel welcome in your WCB branch.
- Help customers with transactions like account opening, CD's and consumer loans.
- Gain an understanding of your customer’s unique financial needs.
- Make personalized recommendations to support them.
- Help guide your customers toward greater financial well-being.
- Deepen your relationship with customers through outreach.
- Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High school education or GED
- 1 year banking experience
- 2 years in a customer service position
- Proficient working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to relate to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Demonstrate professional behavior and project a professional image in dress, manner, and communication
- Ability to be coachable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand financial information
- Ability to remain calm and diffuse conflict
- Sales skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Desirable Requirement
- Associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related area
- 2 years banking experience
- 2 years previous lending experience
- 2 years opening new accounts.
