What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waterworks Technician position at Washington County Government?
This position assists in the general maintenance, repair and operation of the water distribution system and associated facilities.
Installing and /or repairing water service lines, meters meter boxes, main line valves and fire hydrants. Installation of water taps. Meter reading electronic and/or manual.Coordinates with construction companies on projects. Responds, investigates and acts on customer inquiries and complaints.
Operates heavy machinery, construction equipment, and commercial vehicles utilized in the operation and maintenance of the water distribution system. Understand basic math. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, positive public relations emphasizing customer service. Respond to emergencies 24 hours a day and serve in an on-call status. Ability to become a C-Distribution Operator within 1 year.

Pay: $28,570.00 - $33,989.00 per year
