POSITION DESCRIPTION
SECTION I
Position Title: Mid-Level Practitioner
Department:` Rural Health Clinic
Reports to (Title): Administrator
Supervises (Positions): Clinical staff in collaboration with Medical Director.
SECTION II
Position Summary:
Provides primary care to Rural Health Clinic patients under the auspices of the Medical Director. Practices within his/her scope of practice as delineated by his/her education and training. Conforms to prescriptive privileges. Performs all other duties as required by the Medical Director.
Possesses the ability to function in patient management in collaboration with the Medical Director for all types of patients seeking primary care.
Position Qualifications:
1. Graduate from an accredited program for Mid-Level Practitioners.
2. Possesses a current State of Missouri registration, certification and/or licensure as Mid-Level Practitioner.
3. One (1) year experience in a primary care setting preferred.

1. Provides primary care to clinic patients under the auspices of Medical Director.
2. Practices within scope of practice as delineated by education and training.
3. Has all patient management. including pharmaceutical modalities as listed in the patient’s chart, signed by the Medical Director.
4. Performs in a manner consistent with mission and objectives of the Rural Health Clinic.

Responsible for laboratory, x-ray, and specialty referral of clinic patients.
Responsible for histories, progress notes and treatment recommendations in patient medical records.
Provides services in accordance with policy.
Conforms to prescriptive privileges.
Obtains co-signature by the Medical Director on all prescriptions written.
Does not prescribe narcotics.
Arranges for, or refers patients to needed services that cannot be provided at the clinic.
Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and transferred as required when patients are transferred.
Participates with Physician in a periodic review of the patient’s health records.
Charting receives acceptable standards during quality reviews.
Knows and applies the mission and objectives of the clinic.
Utilizes established channels of communication and lines of authority for problem solving and communication.
Understands and participates in safety programs and disaster drills.
Observes clinic dress code.
Maintains and assures patient confidentiality.
Participates in community and public relations activities as an employee of the clinic.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
