Crisis Clinician
For more than 50 years, Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington and Williamstown. WCMHS provides education, support, and treatment of individuals and families living with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. POSITION : WCMHS is seeking an Emergency Crisis Clinician to provide crisis intervention for individuals and their families. The Crisis Clinician will work in conjunction with assisting community agencies and WCMHS programming to assess individuals and triage the next steps of short-term action. This includes conducting mental health evaluations and risk assessments for adults and youth to determine the appropriate clinical intervention. The intervention will be performed in WCMHS sites and throughout Washington and Orange County Vermont. This is a full-time position which includes three 12-hour shifts and a weekly staff meeting, totaling 40 hours a week. The shifts will include night and weekend hours.
QUALIFICATIONS : The Emergency Screener's education and work experience will include :
- Bachelor's degree
- Three or more years of experience in Mental Health Services with a diverse population; and
- Must have a valid driver's license, possess an excellent driving record, and have access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : This full-time position offers an exempt hourly wage of $29.07 and excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement / student loan assistance; generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b)-retirement plan with employer match.
