JOB SPECIFICS
The Washington County Community Corrections Department is hiring a Management Analyst I or Management Analyst II to provide analysis, planning, and project management support. This position will support the department’s performance management, quality improvement, data analysis, and reporting efforts to enhance evidence-based practices and client outcomes. The role will focus on evaluating program effectiveness, monitoring recidivism trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making to improve public safety and rehabilitation efforts.
As a member of the Planning and Analysis Unit, this position will provide tools, resources, and expertise to department staff, county leadership, and community stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices in community corrections.
- Professional experience with or for public sector (federal, state, county, city, etc.) related to corrections, or a related field
- Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting and managing, different types of data
- Experience or knowledge of data visualization techniques and/or software (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Office or similar software for data analysis and reporting.)
- Experience in managing and working with relational databases
- Knowledge and/or experience with planning and project management principles and processes, and meeting facilitation
- Knowledge and understanding of cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion

Hours/Days: Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $31.06 to $36.71 Hourly (May be hired at the Management Analyst II level depending on qualifications)

JOB SUMMARY
The Management Analyst I analyzes and evaluates systems, programs, methods and procedures, prepares a variety of statistical reports used to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of department programs and services and may also serve as the Department's information technology specialist and liaison to the IT Department.
EMPLOYMENT CRITERIA
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in public administration, math, statistics, business, or a related field, and one year of work experience related to project management, planning, policy analysis, and quantitative or statistical analysis, or equivalent.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data to determine issue resolution or assess user needs;
- Perform stakeholder analysis;
- Assist in performance measurement and quality improvement efforts
- Develop and run database queries and interpret the results;
- Investigate and determine the feasibility of automating procedures;
- Write statistical or narrative reports and presentations to support findings; and
- Recommend supported solutions or alternatives.
- Assist in customizing operational systems;
- Create work distribution plans,
- Assist in researching, preparing and monitoring grants;
- Coordinate contract management activities
- Develop system and application training materials and train staff; and
- Act as a liaison with community organizations, public agencies; foundations, and intra-county divisions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is sedentary in nature performed within the Government Center or satellite offices. Lifting requirement of 15-20 pounds on an occasional basis. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation due to high concentration of filing, compiling, calculating, or computer work.
Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, computer, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machine. Additional physical/mental requirements that occur may not be listed above, but are inherent in performing the position's essential functions. Work interruptions are frequent. There is some pressure associated with project or activity deadlines and details.
