JOB SPECIFICS
This is a Social Work I / II position within the Social Services Division of Community Services. This position will be providing Crisis Response services. The Crisis Response Unit (CRU) is responsible for adult and child mental health crisis response and stabilization services, along with after-hours emergency social services, child protection response, and adult protection emergency protective service response. The unit is staffed 24 / 7 - weekends, evenings, and holidays. This open position is for Tuesday-Saturday 2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm with some holidays and additional on-call coverage. There are several perks for coming to work in CRU full-time : extra assignment pay, free clinical supervision, overtime and evening / overnight differential pay, as well as working in a diverse team on all different aspects of mental health / social work.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE :
- Paid work experience providing 2,000 hours of Mental Health Services to Children's and / or Adults
- Paid work experience providing Crisis Mental Health Services in a County or Private Agency Setting
- Paid work experience providing individual and / or family mental health therapy
- Paid Work experience providing mental health case management in a county or community setting
- Paid work experience providing substance use disorder treatment services

HOURS / DAYS : Tuesday - Saturday 2 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE : $66,019.20 - $95,576.00 Annually. This position may be hired at the level, depending on qualifications

JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker I is an entry level position responsible for identifying and assessing complex individual, family and community problems and strengths, selecting case work, group methods or community resources and implementing plans to protect vulnerable people, promote independence and prevent abuse or neglect.
A Social Worker I may be assigned duties in any of the following units : Family / Children, Licensing, Chemical Health, Adult Mental Health, Development Disabilities, Adult Family Services, Adult Protection, Minnesota Family Investment Program / WorkForce Center or Housing.
EMPLOYMENT CRITERIA
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field, or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : A Master's Degree in Social Work or related field and one year of related experience as a Social Worker is highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
