What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Math Tutor position at Washington County School District?
High Schoo Mathematics Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a thorough knowledge of instructional planning and delivery of the Math 1 curriculum; the ability to assess student mastery of the mathematics standards, and to make the necessary instructional adjustments when students are not progressing in their mastery of the standards; the ability to collaborate within a professional learning team, contributing to the team as required for high functionality; excellent student relationship skills and classroom management skills; excellent communication skills with all stakeholders; good with technology and an understanding for how to use technology to drive instruction; must have a growth mindset; perform any duties required by school administration for the safe and orderly operations of the school day.
This position will work with a small group of Math students daily. Collaboration with the math department is essential to achieve student learning goals. Experience in a team teaching environment is preferred.
This position begins on 1/7/2025 and is for 2 hours a day, five days a week but may change. Preference is given to experienced, certified teachers with a proven track record for achieving high proficiency and growth in Math.
