What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Principal position at Washington County School District?
QUALIFICATIONS :
Must have successful experience as a teacher. The elementary school principal will be responsible for ensuring that every student achieves the academic skills to be successful lifelong learners. The principal will promote a collaborative atmosphere in the school, maintain high standards and expectations and support the development of the instructional staff and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Preference will be given to those with prior administrative experience. Must hold a Virginia teaching license with the endorsement of Principal or of Administration and Supervision, PreK-12. Must work effectively with parents, students, teachers, administrators, and the general public.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 12-month (260-day) contract
Salary : Commensurate with education and experience
