What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mt Rogers Regional Adult Education Program Administrator position at Washington County School District?
The Regional Program Administrator is responsible for Adult Education Programs and related initiatives for the Mount Rogers Regional Adult Education Program. Will be responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Virginia Department of Education Office of Adult Education and Literacy (OAEL).
Qualifications :
Master's Degree Preferred
Experience working in adult education (GED / ESL) preferred
Essential Duties
1. Responsible for completing requests for funding from OAEL to support Mount Rogers Regional Adult Education Program.
2. Work with local partners, area community colleges, and local employers to promote adult education and literacy initiatives and transitional opportunities to postsecondary education and employment.
3. Work with the adult education coordinators from each school division in the region to ensure the delivery of services.
4. Complete all reports required by OAEL and provide supervision over the reimbursement process.
5. Assist the OAEL with program monitoring and evaluation, which would include participating in site visits and providing assistance as needed.
6. Work with regional programs to develop outreach and recruitment of adult learners.
7. Work with regional programs to ensure continuous program improvement, including efforts to meet or exceed state and federal performance targets.
8. The manager shall attend all required meetings or staff development event conducted by OAEL or the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center.
