Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Certification: Possess an Oregon DPSST Basic Certification or equivalent federal/state/local certification as a Corrections Officer or Jail Deputy.
- Experience: Minimum one year of full-time (2080 hours) experience as a certified Corrections Officer or Jail Deputy within the past 12 months.
- Field Training: Must have completed a Field Training Program.
- Driving Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.
- Background Check: Must pass a thorough background investigation and meet DPSST standards.
