FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS
$20.64 per hour
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support duties to the Public Works Director and Roads Department including: developing, implementing, coordinating and expediting various processes, functions, projects and services; performs records management, financial record keeping, fiscal control, and clerical functions of the department.
Also answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information . Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical support duties as needed to expedite the day-to-day operations of public works and the Road Department, serving both internal and external customers.
This position would primarily work out of the County Administration Building in St. George, but would split between two offices, including the Road Shed in Hurricane. Maintains staff calendar, schedules appointments; apprises staff of schedules and issues memorandums or reminders; schedules meetings and issues notices to appropriate parties; attends to various meeting logistical needs, pulls files, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school with course background in office practices preferred; plus one (1) year of specialized training in computer assisted accounting, finance, budgeting, general business, or related field.
AND
- Two (2) years of experience performing above or related duties.
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
