The Washington County Tax Accessor Collectors Office is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Clerk for the Brenham, Texas office.
Applicants must possess good communication, teamwork and organizational skills as well as be proficient in Word, Excel and data entry type software.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task by answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, data entry, and other miscellaneous duties.
- Cash handling and balancing of all fees collected daily with the use of basic mathematical and accounting principles.
- Ability to learn and apply procedure requirements and laws of the State of Texas concerning titles and registrations.
The Deputy Clerk for the Tax Accessor Collectors Office is a Washington County employee and would receive salary, paid health insurance, retirement and other benefits.
Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and/or periodic drug, criminal background investigations, and motor vehicle record reports as appropriate under policy.
