What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Maintenance position at Washington County?
Essential Job Functions:
- Routine maintenance duties include minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Other duties include wall repair, patching, and painting.
- Help fulfill the ordering of toiletries and cleaning supplies for the jail.
- Inspect the inside and outside of building for deficiencies and coordinate with Director for repairs.
- Light janitorial work may be needed during normal work hours.
- Escort contractors on premises in secure areas when needed.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies when on call and make necessary repairs.
- Maintain entryways for employees and customers.
- Driving county vehicle to vendors for parts and equipment.
- Routine inspections of Mechanical rooms and service chases.
- Routine inspections of bathrooms for function and cleanliness.
- Initiate and finish project repair on their own.
- Paperwork, computer work for recordkeeping of repairs and new work done.
- Maintain and repair jail cell fixtures when inmates are released.
- Receive deliveries of products and distribute where necessary.
Physical Requirement:
- Work on 6ft and 8 ft ladders
- The ability to lift 50 lbs
Expected hours:
- 24 hours a week
