Part-Time Maintenance

Essential Job Functions:

• Routine maintenance duties include minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Other duties include wall repair, patching, and painting.
• Help fulfill the ordering of toiletries and cleaning supplies for the jail.
• Inspect the inside and outside of building for deficiencies and coordinate with Director for repairs.
• Light janitorial work may be needed during normal work hours.
• Escort contractors on premises in secure areas when needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when on call and make necessary repairs.
• Maintain entryways for employees and customers.
• Driving county vehicle to vendors for parts and equipment.
• Routine inspections of Mechanical rooms and service chases.
• Routine inspections of bathrooms for function and cleanliness.
• Initiate and finish project repair on their own.
• Paperwork, computer work for recordkeeping of repairs and new work done.
• Maintain and repair jail cell fixtures when inmates are released.
• Receive deliveries of products and distribute where necessary.

Physical Requirement:

• Work on 6ft and 8 ft ladders
• The ability to lift 50 lbs

Expected hours:

• 24 hours a week

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• Evenings as needed
• Nights as needed
• On call
• Weekends as needed
