What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prevention Specialist position at Washington Drug and Alcohol Commission, Inc.?

Work involves direct service in the areas of education and intervention services to student’s grades K-12 as well as activities related to community-based efforts.
This job entails:
- conducting classes with evidence-based programing related to drug & alcohol prevention
- taking part in the Student Assistance Programs (SAP) in the school districts served which requires attendance at the SAP meetings monthly.
- serving as agency representation at community events to raise awareness about drug & alcohol prevention.
- travel to assigned school districts
This position offers flexible hours and an awesome benefits package that includes wellness time. Bachelor’s degree is required; B.S. Degree in Health Education, Education, or Behavioral Sciences preferred. Experience in drug and alcohol prevention work is preferred but not required.

Pay: $21.29 - $25.10 per hour
