POSITION SUMMARY
Provide excellent service to our guests in all types of banquet and catering functions, including setting and clearing of dining tables and buffets.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Set tables in assigned area according to BEO requirements.
Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
Relay food and beverage orders. Serve meals, coffee breaks, receptions, other special functions, as assigned.
Inform guests about the menu, ingredients and cooking methods for the items served.
Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations. Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
Keep all workstations clean during service. Clean all glassware, condiments, silverware and inspect china for imperfections.
Assist in set-up / break down of tables and equipment. Complete all assigned side work.
Each associate is expected to complete, within their ability, all reasonable requests by management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
1-2 years hotel banquet experience preferred
Other Requirements
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
