Summary: Under general direction, incumbent(s) greets and provides general information to the public; routes all incoming switchboard calls to proper location; drafts narratives and prepares reports Human Resources; and assists with other departments with special projects.
Essential Functions:
- Routes all incoming switchboard calls to proper person/location, taking messages for staff members when necessary. Greets visitors/public and provides general information regarding district office, schools and programs. Notifies district office facilities manager for custodial emergencies, and district office courier for delivery services as requested by staff members.
- Provides administrative tasks for Human Resources including: drafting, typing and /or proofreading memos, bulletins, correspondence, reports, meeting notes and purchase requisitions.
- Obtains, organizes and displays pertinent data and may conduct research. Maintains filing system and processes correspondence. Operates computer and related software. Disseminates information/messages via email, in-district mail, and/or postal mail.
- Maintains schedule of Administrative Center conference rooms.
- Assists other departments with special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level, as required.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. Verification of these required qualifications is necessary.
High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and six months clerical experience, or and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
