This role will support Washington Emergency Care Physicians (WECP) and its business units (OECP, SECP, TECP, CTACS).

Schedule & Location
This is a full-time, exempt position with a hybrid work schedule.
Tacoma is the heart of the Puget Sound Metropolitan area. The city itself rests on the shores of Commencement Bay and the Puget Sound and between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. This allows for easy access to skiing, hiking, boating, fishing, and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Tacoma is within a few hours of some of the world’s best wineries.
Key Accountabilities
1. Quality Program Development & Leadership
- Lead and develop WECP’s Coordinated Quality Improvement Program in accordance with DOH standards.
- Report to Board of Directors on program development and activities.
- In partnership with the Quality Committee, review services rendered to improve quality of care and mitigate compliance risk.
2. Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Provide counsel on corporate governance matters, including drafting and implementing policies related to governance and compliance.
- Advise on new and emerging healthcare regulations, and industry trends.
- Prepare Board and Committee materials and support Board meetings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state healthcare laws (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute).
- Monitor, evaluate, and advise on regulatory changes impacting WECP’s operations and strategies.
3. Legal & Policy Advisory
- Advise leadership on policy matters and compliance strategies related to healthcare operations and risk management.
- Provide guidance on privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, state privacy laws) and security policies, coordinating with relevant teams to enhance privacy practices.
- Lead efforts in healthcare policy advocacy, collaborating with external advisors to align with WECP’s mission and strategies.
- Handle legal inquiries related to telehealth regulations, reimbursement rules, and healthcare provider licensure.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: 4-year degree relating to healthcare, law, or business administration.
- Preferred: Advanced degree such as JD, MBA, or MHA.
- CPHQ or CPHRM certification desired.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience dedicated to the development or facilitation of Quality Improvement or Compliance programs.
- Experience in contract negotiation, corporate governance, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, CPOM).
- Excellent analytical, consulting, and negotiation skills with a focus on healthcare law.
- Ability to work independently and handle high volumes of work with changing priorities.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
