The candidate will plan and implement an elementary program, including the core homeroom subjects of language arts, mathematics, and social studies. Teachers within grade levels work closely together to plan instruction, develop curriculum, and ensure success for all children.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree (graduate preferred) in elementary education (or similar field)
- Minimum of two years of related teaching experience, preferably at the elementary school level
- A high level of energy and initiative
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Model enthusiasm for and love of learning.
- Be a kind and caring adult in the students’ lives.
- Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning needs.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive and structured learning environment.
- Fulfill duties such as monitoring lunch, recess, and dismissal.
- Perform professional duties efficiently, manage resources effectively, and meet deadlines and meeting schedules set by the School as assigned.
- Assess and document children’s progress.
- Communicate student progress with families through teacher-led conferences and report card writing.
- Update the classroom webpage with photos, links, and weekly newsletters.
- Attend weekly grade-level meetings with the Elementary School Division Director, Learning Specialist, and School Counselor.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and department meetings.
Salary range – $60 – 100,000
