Job Description
A fire protection engineering and construction company in Northern Virginia is seeking bright and energetic individuals for the following positions:
DRAFT/CAD OPERATOR
Responsibilities:
- Design/draft fire protection systems using AutoCAD
- Prepare coordination and fabrication plans
- Review construction document, and prepare project cut sheets and RFI's
- Provide answers and supports to field staff with engineering/technical needs
- Interact with project management team and facilitate clients' needs
- Plan and schedule with construction progress
- Assist project manager throughout the construction
- Visit construction sites and attend meetings
- Documenting and writing reports
- Prepare construction related documents
- Coordinate procurement & material handling
- Log and monitor RFI’s / changes orders
- Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
- Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
- Responsible for RFI and submittal process
- Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues
Qualifications:
- AutoCAD is a must
- Experience in Revit a plus
- Proficiency with MS office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Competitive salary :
- This is a full-time position with paid vacation days and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
