Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Snack Bar Manager to join our team this summer. This person will be responsible for the management of the outside snack bar in a manner that is most pleasing to members and thier guests while ensuring a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service to personnel and cleanliness of the Snack Bar. The manager will also be responsible for supervising and training Snack Bar staff and manage within budgetary restraints.
Duties
- Schedule personnel and plan Snack Bar setup based upon anticipated member counts and member needs
- Supervise and run the Snack Bar with highest level of customer service exceeding member expectations while maintaining clean facilities
- Ensure that employees are in proper and clean uniforms at all times, including nametags
- Lead by example in adhering to and enforcing the standards set forth in the employee handbook
- Hire, train, supervise, schedule and evaluate Snack Bar staff
- Provide appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules, pay rates, and job changes
- Receive and resolve complaints concerning food, beverages and service while at the same time relaying incidents to Clubhouse Manager for follow up.
- Assist in the preparation of the food items and work with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless operation
- Develop and implement programs to increase revenues (repeat business and higher check averages)
- Ensure that all local and state laws and the Club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed
- Ensure opening and closing checklists are complete
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Or any similar combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to hire, supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling/planning and demonstrated leadership skills in managing issues at all levels
- Demonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation
- Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to enforce policies while maintaining a high professional demeanor
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Excellent administrative skills
- Strong mathematical skills
