Psychiatric Consultant for Youth Rehabilitation Services
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Consultant to join our team at Washington-Harris Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with medical and behavioral health staff to ensure comprehensive care for youth in our rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess medication needs, diagnostic clarity, and treatment planning recommendations.
- Complete emergency psychiatric evaluations, including crisis intervention, petitions for involuntary hospitalization, and court-ordered evaluations.
- Provide oversight for youth placed on suicide watch and complete psychiatric evaluations to determine suitable treatment and placement.
- Attend staff and youth meetings to coordinate care and provide expert psychiatric advice.
- Collaborate with medical and behavioral health staff to address complex clinical situations, somatic health problems, and discharge recommendations.
Requirements:
- Completed residency program in psychiatry approved by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association.
- Completed fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- ACLS, BLS, and Board Certification required.
