Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen collection processing, and discharge planning.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, anatomy knowledge, and senior care practices.
- Provide care for infants and manage acute care situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and medical terminology.
- Experience or training in phlebotomy and specimen collection processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar EHR systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in senior care or acute care settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation.
