Child Care Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care, supporting their growth and learning through engaging activities and positive interactions.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote educational growth and social skills.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and express themselves.
• Manage behavior effectively using appropriate strategies to ensure a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's interactions.
• Experience in special education or working with diverse learning needs is a plus.
• Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning in various domains (cognitive, social, emotional).
• Previous experience as a nanny or in similar childcare roles will be considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude with the ability to create a supportive classroom environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.63 - $23.45 per hour
