$40.36 - $46.17 plus applicable per diem differential
Job Description
Functions as a member of the obstetrics team, scrubbing for OB/GYN surgical procedures and providing the obstetrician with necessary instruments in a timely manner. Also, the OB Surgical Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment and securing appropriate supplies, equipment, and instruments for OB/GYN surgical procedures.
In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, the OB Surgical Technician may also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent, required.
- Completed OB/GYN Surgical Technician Program, required.
Work Experience
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Previous OB/GYN operating room scrub experience, preferred.
License
- Current BLS certification from American heart Association, required.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology and English, required.
- Emotional stamina to work in stressful environment and relate to patients, hospital staff and visitors, required.
