What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Operations Manager position at Washington Iron Works?
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the warehouse inventory, the procurement of parts and materials, and supply chain needs to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability of our remanufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection of airends, blowers, and compressors for consumables needed for routine maintenance and replacement of damaged components.
- Identification and sourcing of common and specialized parts/materials needed for remanufacture from various suppliers.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiating prices and terms to achieve overhead cost savings.
- Monitoring stock levels of critical supplies and ensuring timely restocking to prevent operational delays.
- Evaluate purchasing trends for opportunities for process improvements.
- Coordinating the shipping of multiple deliveries to and from multiple customers by different carriers.
- Maintaining detailed records of transactions and shipments made.
- Providing precise and detailed inventory counts to minimize loss.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
