What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Engagement Specialist position at Washington & Jefferson College?
Summary
Reporting to the Director of Belonging and Engagement, the specialist will join the Division of Student Life team and will develop and implement creative, innovative and engaging campus-wide programming opportunities, which meet the needs of a diverse campus community at Washington & Jefferson College. As a 4-year residential campus, this position will work in variety of campus-wide initiatives with a special focus on evening and weekend events. The specialist will work to foster and support the community by creating rich, co- curricular experiences outside of the classroom. This position will also assume generalist responsibilities within the area of the Office of Belonging & Engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities

Student Engagement
- Develop programs and events that foster community among all students and encourage participation in extracurricular activities.

PREZ PANTRY
- Working with a student intern to oversee the daily operations of the campus pantry (manage inventory, organize donation drives, and collaborate with key stakeholders)

Intramural Sports
- Plan and manage intramural sports leagues, tournaments, and events that encourage physical activity and teamwork.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and scheduling of recreational spaces for student

Esports & PREZ PLAY
- Coordinate and promote the college's esports program, partner with ITS and other departments to ensure access to gaming resources and maintain the esports facility.

Collaboration and Community Outreach
- Work closely with student organizations, faculty, and staff to enhance the reach of wellness and recreational programming.
- Serve as a primary liaison for external partnerships, and community support
- PREZ PERKS
- Oversee the "PREZ PERKS" Program by developing relationships with local businesses and managing exclusive perks for students, faculty, & staff.
Qualifications
- The candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
