Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor¿s Degree in related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Transportation Planning, Construction Management.
Experience
- A minimum ten (10) years of experience in design, procurement, construction/implementation, testing, and acceptance of projects, preferably with signaling related projects.
- Proven ability, at senior management level, in the direction / supervision of projects and personnel, design, project controls, budget development, contract compliance of projects, preferably in a program with Automatic Train Control elements.
- Demonstrated successful project implementation in management roles in an operating / service environment where safety is highest value.
Certification/Licensure

Job Summary/Duties:
TThis position directs the planning, management, development and execution of a comprehensive long-range capital improvement program for ATC/signaling systems, including support to Automatic Train Control Maintenance (ATCM) department for annual replacement programs. The incumbent is responsible for the development of projects to deliver the overall program and manages the projects from concept through strategic and financial planning, scope, design, construction, contract administration, project management, close-out and evaluation. Keeps Executive Vice President (EVP) and General Manager (GM) informed; coordinates closely with WMATA internal stakeholders, and represents WMATA to external stakeholders, on all aspects of ATC signaling systems improvement and replacement program.
