MS SPED Strat I Teacher
The Washington Community School District is looking for a Middle School Special Education Strategist I Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This will be a full time position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Iowa Teaching Certificate or ability to attain certificate with an Instructional Strategist I.
REPORTS TO: Special Education Director and Building Principal
JOB GOALS: To provide individualized programming/instruction for students with various disabilities. To teach/work collaboratively with general education instructors in order to instruct students in learning strategies and to assist students in becoming more independent learners in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child. Position will involve co-teaching, push-in, and some pull-out instruction based off student need. Applicant must have a love for kids, a positive attitude and quality communication skills.
