What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breastfeeding Peer Helper position at Washington-Morgan Counties Community Action?
Breastfeeding Peer Helper - Provide breastfeeding support, encouragement and information to WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mother.. Provides clerical support for administrative staff. Attends breastfeeding training classes to become a peer counselor. Maintains breast pump inventory, which includes ordering pumps and completing quarterly usage report. Complete all required paperwork for loaner pumps. Complete breastfeeding Peer reports. Respect each client by keeping their information strictly confidential. Keeps accurate records of all contact made with WIC clients.
Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have breastfeed for six (6) months. Must be willing to travel to Morgan County too.
Starting wage: $12.40 per hour. Twenty-eight (28 ) hours per week
