Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Sponsorship Activation, the Corporate Partnerships Intern and Associate will gain a broad understanding of sports partnerships by working on both activation and sales related projects.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Sponsorship Activation, the Corporate Partnerships Associates will gain a broad understanding of sports partnerships by working on both activation and sales related projects. This paid position will require the individual to be on-site for a maximum of 34 hours a week, including select nights and weekends based on the events schedule. There are two open positions.
One (1) Associate Position for recent college graduates or students graduating Spring 2025, running from March - October of 2025.
One (1) Associate Position – this summer role is for current students and would run from May/June to August/September of 2025 based on the student’s class schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Activation:
- This opportunity will provide a fast paced, hands-on experience in developing and executing sponsorship activation programs.
- Assist the planning, setup and breakdown of partner activation spaces within the ballpark
- Coordinate the logistics of corporate partners participating in on field pregame ceremonies
- Assist with the execution and fulfillment of sponsored related in-game features
- Interact and provide top-tier customer service to corporate partners across a variety of events such as batting practice viewings, suite nights, sponsored theme nights and Nationals Partner Alliance events
- Support the activation team at off-site events and activations throughout the DMV area
- Capture, organize, and catalog high quality photographs of partner activations, signage, special events, and promotions for use in proposals and recaps.
- Sales
- The Corporate Partnerships intern will develop their business acumen by supporting the sales team on proposals for partners and prospects.
- Conduct industry research used in proposals and partnership recaps
- Strategize creative and engaging ideas that will generate revenue for the department
- Administrative Tasks:
- Ship packages to clients and contacts
- Prepare and submit financial paperwork related to department purchases and
- Track inventory of sponsored giveaways and organize storage close
- Other duties as assigned

- Desire and passion to work in sports sponsorship activation and sales with a positive attitude
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to work with associates across multiple departments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with client, colleagues, including internal and external senior executives
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with corporate partners
- Takes initiative without being asked and pays close attentat to detail on projects assigned
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to build presentations, create excel documents, and utilize Outlook tools such as email and calendar invites to communicate with colleagues and clients

Physical/Environment Requirements
- Office: Working conditions are normal for an office Work will require weekend and evening work
- Gameday: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Compensation:
The projected wage rate for this position is $17.50 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
